M E E T D R Suresh K. Gupta, MD, is a primary care, internal medicine, and geriatrics specialist. At his practice in Silver Spring, Maryland, he is proud to provide patients with the best care and treatments throughout each stage of life. He has been serving the community in Silver Spring for over three decades. Dr. Gupta earned his medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College in India in 1978. He then relocated to the United States in 1981 and completed his transitional year internship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Afterward, he finished his residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Prince George's Hospital Center in Prince George's County, Maryland, before pursuing a career in private practice. At Suresh K. Gupta, MD, he makes it a priority to make sure patients understand their treatment options and takes into consideration their needs when determining the best solution. In his own words, "I like Net-working because the opposite is Not-working." He stays up to date with the latest advancements in his field. Dr. Gupta is a panel physician for the Indian Embassy, the chairman of the board of trustees for the National Council of Asian Indian Associations, Inc., and the president of the Asian American Inter Community Service. He is affiliated with Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland, and is a board member of the Holy Cross Health Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to improve the health of the community. In addition, Dr. Gupta has also published several articles for the National Institute of Health. Outside of his practice, Dr. Gupta is passionate about participating in civic duties. He is a commissioner on the Human Rights Commission in Montgomery County and on the Board of Directors at Montgomery Hospice. He is married to his wife, Maansi, and they have two children and three grandchildren. His son is a neuro-otology surgeon and his daughter is an attorney at Amazon. In his free time, Dr. Gupta enjoys photography, videography, gardening, singing, dancing, and participating in philanthropy.
