Dr. Altepeter worked for 10 years at the FDA in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, where she gained a deep understanding of the approval process for new drugs. She applies this knowledge every day to ensure the most effective patient care as many new medications to treat obesity are being developed. She lives in the Silver Spring area with her husband, two children, and two dogs. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family.
